Francis T. Koti

PhD; GISP

Who am I?

I am a professor in the Department of Global Studies and Human Geography at Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro, TN. Though broadly trained in Geography, my main focus is understanding people, cities, communities, and their resources using theory, fieldwork, and modern geospatial technologies. My recent research has focused on water access and use in peri-urban communities outside Africa's largest cities. I teach courses across both Global Studies and Human Geography programs. When I am not teaching, conducting research, or doing some service activity, I enjoy college sports, travel with family, and playing badminton and ping pong. My guitar is "work in progress" for now!
